Five Reasons to Be a Season Siter

Five Reasons to Be a Season Siter

#1: Community

Our camping area is a close-knit community; more like a neighborhood than a campground. When you spend an entire season here with us, you become a fixture of the campground family. Enjoy our weekly campground potluck, see new and old friends at our campground programming, and get to know your summertime neighbors throughout our most vibrant season. The campground is full of campers of all ages, looking to meet new people and build relationships with the Pilgrim Pines family.

#2: Flexibility

When you book a season site at Pilgrim Pines, you are giving yourself the gift of flexibility. You know you will have a bed and a home here, whenever you want it. You can head home for a few days for work or family obligations, and then come right back up to your retreat on the lake. If you have friends you want to see during Week One, Week Seven, or any week in between, you’ll have a landing spot. If there are certain days or weeks when you’re not using your season site, you could always offer friends or family the chance to come experience some time at the Pines in your stead!

#3: Endless Opportunities for Fun!

Summers at Pilgrim Pines are packed with fun activities, gifted and encouraging speakers, boating on the lake, playing big games, arts and crafts, and more. When you’re a season siter, you can participate in as much or as little of our family camp programming as you’d like. Start your morning hearing from our visiting Pastor of the Week in the Chapel, and then head down to the lake to do some swimming. Grab lunch at the Snack Shack, check out our afternoon Rec activities, and stick around for the evening program! Each week brings new and exciting opportunities to try new things, meet new people, and have a great time. Spending your whole summer here in our campground means never missing a minute of the fun.

#4: Nature

We have so much beautiful, natural scenery here at Pilgrim Pines. With a season site, you could build a summer-long morning routine of drinking your coffee down by our beautiful lakefront, or starting your day with a stroll down West Shore Road. The most climbed mountain in the United States, Mount Monadnock, is just a 45-minute drive away. Check out the nearby beaver dam just steps up Christian Hill Road, and maybe even experience a staff-led hike to our newly acquired Skytop property! We have two frog ponds on the property, including one in the campground, so you’ll have no shortage of wildlife to observe. A season site is an opportunity to step out of the busyness of day-to-day life and soak in God’s creation, and there are ample opportunities to take in that creation here at camp.

#5: Deepen Your Roots at Pilgrim Pines

Pilgrim Pines is founded on relationships and community building. We take care of our campers with our whole hearts, and we are so grateful that you do the same in return. We are lucky to have many individuals who have become lifelong volunteers here at the Pines, and they are truly a part of our family. Get plugged in to our volunteer network to feel more plugged in at camp than ever before. Your work will help us tremendously, and we promise you’ll have an incredible time! Staying with us for an entire season is an opportunity for you to contribute to a loving community effort to help Pilgrim Pines thrive, so that campers for generations to come can enjoy camp just as much as you do. Of course, we also love those who come and volunteer for a week, or even a single day! If that’s been you, and if you’ve had a meaningful experience, imagine how much more meaningful it would be to spend an entire summer with us, watching the fruits of your labor unfold.
