Pilgrim Pines Camping Area Pet Policy

Please read the following policy to understand our pet policy at Pilgrim Pines Camping Area. This policy may change from time to time, so check back periodically.

Guests may bring usual household pets such as dogs and cats to a camping area. No other animals, livestock, poultry, reptiles, insects, or exotic pets are permitted.

All pets must be registered with the office and vaccination records must be available upon request and all pets must wear a collar identifying the owner and phone number.

Pets must be kept on a leash at all times and under the control of their owner. E-collars, E-leashes or other similar devices will not be considered as “leashed” per this policy.

A maximum of two (2) pets (dogs or cats) per campsite are allowed. Weight limited to 40 lbs.

Pets must not be left tied or otherwise unattended at any time.

For the protection of, and in consideration to other persons, noisy, aggressive, vicious, unruly, poisonous or venomous pets are not allowed.  Persons who are unable to control their pets must remove them from the camping area or the animal may be taken to/by local animal control authorities.

The owner of any pet is responsible for any injuries or damages caused by their pets. In addition, the owner of any pet that causes injury or damages to another is expected to resolve the issue directly with the injured party. We are not responsible for any injuries or damages caused by pets.

Guests are responsible for their pets and should "clean up" after them. All pet droppings must be properly disposed of in a trash receptacle. If we, Pilgrim Pines, incur expenses related to cleanup, the guest will be required to reimburse camp for those expenses.

Pets are not permitted on our grounds outside of the camping area.  This includes our buildings or amenity areas, including but not limited to the bathrooms, fields, lodge, snack shack and beach areas, sports courts, etc.

Pets are not allowed in rental units and bunk houses.

Service animals may accompany a disabled person with proof of disability or certification for the service animal. Service animals are discouraged from entering buildings, common areas, field and beach areas and other locations where pets are prohibited. All owners of a service animal will be required to provide proof of validity.

Pet owners who are not in compliance with our pet policy will be asked to leave the camping area and will not receive a refund.

Pet policies are subject to change without notice.

This pet policy will be on a trial basis for the 2026 camping season and will be evaluated during and after the season.
