In the midst of the noisiness of modern life, especially in this cultural and social moment of history, it takes conscious effort to calm and quiet the mind, heart, and soul. This 3-day/2-night retreat is intended to create space in your life to quiet the noise and tune in to the still, small voice of God within and around you. Come. Slow down. Calm and quiet your soul. And give your attention to the loving presence of God, which attends you even in the noise of life. 

Psalm 131

O Yahweh, my heart is not lifted up,
my eyes are not raised too high;
I do not occupy myself with things too great
and too marvelous form.
But I have calmed and quieted my soul,
like a weaned child with its mother;
my soul is like the weaned child that is with me.
O Israel, hope in Yahweh from this time on

Retreat Rundown

Check-in begins at 4 pm on Sunday, and then enjoy dinner and a session later that evening. Monday will include three great meals, sessions, and time to slow down. The retreat will conclude with lunch Tuesday afternoon.

OVERVIEW

Programming for a silence retreat follows a slower, relaxed pace to provide an environment conducive to calming and quieting the mind and soul.  Gatherings of word and song frame our time together.  The weekend will include a private room for each participant with plenty of space for silence and solitude. There will also be opportunities to meet with a spiritual director. Appointments with spiritual directors help individuals attend to what is most pressing in their relationship with God. Periods of extended personal silence and prayer, with optional guiding resources, create the space needed to calm and quiet the soul.

Please note: Full payment is due at the time of registration. Refunds will be issued less a $50 non-refundable deposit for cancellations made more than one week out from the start of the retreat. No refund will be issued for cancellations made within one week of the start of the retreat.
