March 2018

Dear Friend:

Right now I’m looking out my window watching the snow continue to fall – adding to the fresh 12 inches that dropped last week! Another snow day as school has been cancelled for my kids – they rejoice – I, well, I love my girls but do enjoy when they go to school. Despite the added snow, things here will
transform dramatically in a matter of weeks, and a summer filled with enormous potential for ministry will be upon us.

Our staff is busy preparing for this next season, prayerfully hiring summer staff, planning staff training, preparing our facilities, and fielding questions from parents interested in sending their children to camp.  To say the least, we are excited for all that God has in store.

One barrier that Pilgrim Pines has chosen to eliminate as a reason for campers to not attend camp is the matter of finances.  We feel strongly that every child deserves to experience the transformative growth that takes place at camp, regardless of his or her financial means.  Last year alone, we awarded $33,000 in scholarship funds to campers in need. What a gift that we were able to provide to so many.

As a friend of Pilgrim Pines, we’re asking you to partner with us in this endeavor to fill our scholarship fund so we can offer Christian camping to children, families and individuals who would otherwise not be able to attend.  Your choice to give in this way is a tangible and direct participation in our ministry, meeting a real and growing need.  Please consider how you might return the blessing that Pilgrim Pines has been in your own life.

From all of us, thank you for your prayer and support.

Forward, forward, always forward.
