About Camp Squanto
Camp Squanto offers seven weeks of summer camp from June to August each year for grades 2-12.
The camp mission is to present the gospel message of Jesus to campers, to challenge them to take
ownership
of
their faith, and to encourage them to grow as Christians. Speakers, staff, activities,
and games help create
an
atmosphere
that is exciting and separate from the everyday world,
an environment
in which faith
can be
reflected upon and refreshed.
What happens at Squanto?
Activities include big games, waterfront, wilderness activities, ropes course, arts and crafts, camp store,
great meals,
crazy skits, but even more importantly, singing and chapel times in the Rec Hall.
Each week of camp we invite age-appropriate guest speakers to come and talk to the campers about
their faith. Singing is led by the summer staff and is always a crazy and moving experience.
Camp Squanto campers love to sing !
Staff
The Camp Squanto staff is carefully selected and is served by youg adults who have
exciting personalities and are
responsible individuals who show compelling love for students
and for Christ. The staff is united by a common love for Jesus Christ and a commitment to serve the
needs, both spiritual and physical, of guests to camp, as well as other staff. In seeking employment at
Camp
Squanto,
one does
not need to be a member of a Covenant Church, but should be a commited follower of
Christ and have a
healthy relationship with
God regardless of denomination.
